AngioChem announces two new peer-reviewed publications.

Montreal, Canada – AngioChem is pleased to announce the publication of two new scientific articles, as well as a related commentary describing the mechanism and therapeutic potential of the company’s Angiopep drug-delivery technology and its lead product for brain cancer, ANG1005. The articles are:

The paper by Demeule et al in the Journal of Neurochemistry describes the latest results on the mechanism of action of the Angiopep brain drug delivery system. The paper by Regina et al in the British Journal of Pharmacology demonstrates the activity of ANG1005, a conjugate of the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel linked to Angiopep, against human tumor cell lines implanted in mice, including increased survival in a brain tumor model. A related commentary by Mazza et al discusses the significance of the Regina paper as a milestone for drug delivery to the brain and a starting point for further investigation.
