Henry S. Friedman, MD //
Dr. Henry S. Friedman is the
James B. Powell, Jr. Professor of Neuro-Oncology at Duke University Medical Center. He
is internationally recognized for his work as an educator, clinician, and laboratory/clinical
investigator in both pediatric and adult brain and spinal cord tumors. He
received his MD from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York in May of 1977 and stayed
at that institution for pediatric and pediatric hematology-oncology training. He trained
in neuro-oncology at Duke University Medical Center and joined the faculty of that institution
in 1983. He has published over 350 articles in peer reviewed professional journals. He
currently serves as the Deputy Director of The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at
Duke.
Jacques Jolivet, MD //
Dr. Jolivet served as Director of Clinical Development, Oncology at Shire Pharmaceuticals
and its predecessor, BioChem Pharma, where he played a key role in the development of Troxatyl™.
Dr. Jolivet maintains a part time clinical oncology practice. He received his medical degree
from l'Université de Montréal, and completed a fellowship in anti-cancer drug
pharmacology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Jolivet’s work has
led to 2 issued US patents and over 80 scientific publications. He is currently VP
Clinical at Aegera Therapeutics where he directs the clinical development of novel anticancer
agents.
Patrick Y. Wen, MD //
Dr. Wen is the Clinical
Director of the Center For Neuro-Oncology, Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center
and an Associate Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School.
